Invitation:
My friend Joyce and I read One Thousand Gift by Anne Voskamp. The author gave an invitation to journal 1,000 gifts (a thankful list). My Friend and I both decided to accept the invite. I took my previous "Thankful List" (that I had on a 3x5 note card) and transferred it over to a green journal and began. The author shared that we can be thankful in the ordinary every day things that happen to us. The day to day.

Let Go:
Let go of the hard, trying times and focus on everything we have to be thankful for. Let go of the negative and be thankful for all the little things in life that bring us joy. Let go of a negative and begin seeking out all the things we can be thankful in this life.

Reason why:
I had another Ear Surgery and more bed rest. I came off the bed rest and shortly after Shawn proposed to me and asked me to marry him! We started planning our wedding for the next year!  I was going to Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy and Occupational Therapy. My walking and balance was pretty bad and I was extremely weak from two rounds of bed rest.

Bible Verses:
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18

"Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:34

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs o the Lord's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God." 2 Corinthians 9:11-12

What I have learned:

1. There is always something to be thankful for.
2. Being thankful is contagious.
3. Opening up your life to thankfulness changes your mindset. Your     mind begins to naturally look for things to be thankful for         each day.
4. Thankfulness is life changing.
5. Thankfulness opens our heart, mind and life to all the good         things of life like joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness,       faithfullness, and gentleness.
