Invitation:
Finally getting a diagnose didn't solve everything over night. It wasn't an easy fix. There were other things going on in my body. After a referral our from Dr. Black and a referral out from a Consultant Neurologist, I saw a Neurosurgeon for my neck. Dr. Grimm had to go to bat for me when I was over looked by the Neuro Surgeon. He overlooked the temporary loss of being able to move my arms, legs and becoming like a rag doll. The Neurosurgeon finally listened to Dr. Grimm and ordered another MRI, then a discogram. He retracted his "There is nothing I can do for you" and proceeded with scheduling surgery for my neck.
Let Go:
I needed peace in my heart to get through all that was happening. I needed perseverance to make it through the pain, the unknown, the delay of treatment for my ears, and to make it through neck surgery and all the physical therapy to follow.
Reason why:
I just wanted to get "better." I wanted to do everything in my power to get "better." The word peace kept showing up in my life, on Christmas cards, verses I read, on a cup my Sister gave me. I needed to find the Everlasting Peace that can only come from God. To trust in Him. His timing that He is in control and He will work everything out.
Peace gave me perseverance to keep going. Once the neck was taken care of I was able to proceed with bed rest to see if it would heal the inner ear damage. From to I was on a strict bed rest. We got a hospital bed, put it in my living room. I was up for the bathroom and to eat six times a day. I was put on the Zone Diet to help regulate my ears. I had to start all over because of throwing up. I had bad headaches every day, all day long. I had to take pain prescription for the headaches and sleep medicine to fall asleep at night.
